The who, the what and the why...

Inspiration
Thank you for coming to hang out with me at I Love Branch! I created this website first and foremost as a blog - an outlet for my passion of nature, the environment, health and the importance of preservation.
I have grown weary of seeing mostly a lack of progress when it comes to our nation protecting the very vital parts of the outdoors that make the world such a beautiful place. I have found encouragement - starting with the stories of John Muir, Ansel Adams and Theodore Roosevelt; these stories prove how the simple act of spending quiet time by a mountain stream or taking a walk through a vast forest grove can change your perspective as well as boost your mental and physical health. But in order to appreciate and benefit from nature, we must always strive to preserve and protect the very places that give us these extraordinary gifts.

Through this website, I wish to help promote environmental protection and the beauty of nature. In addition, I wish to share ways to reduce consumption; consumption produces waste and waste often litters/encroaches upon our beautiful landscapes. Furthermore, I believe that taking steps to improve our mental and physical health will in turn give us more motivation to advocate for what is important to us. These things to me, create a cyclical realm of well-being for ourselves and our planet.

Please stay tuned for regular postings as I continue on this journey - it is as much for my own learning and improvement as it is for others. Mahalo.

About the author...
My name is "Charm" (shortened from a much longer and unpronounceable name). I am a photographer, nature advocate, gardener and DIY enthusiast. Although I have a normal day job, my true passion is the natural environment, so I work on this blog in my free time. In my additional free time (which I don't ever have), I volunteer at the local wild bird rescue nonprofit as well as keeping a tiny-ass apartment clean and an incredible life partner loved. I live in Hawaii, so many of the posts you'll see on here are directly connected to my life and the natural environment of Hawaii. Aloha.
